Organic Jewelry Cleaning

I love to work with top quality materials such as fine and sterling silver.  However, as you probably know, they tarnish.  Exposure to air, water, chlorine and other chemicals, can cause metals to tarnish.
It helps to store your jewelry piece in its included box, or a small plastic bag.  (The less contact with air, the less darkening will occur)

I wanted to share an organic cleaning method, that is environmentally safe/friendly, non-toxic, and quite easy.

Quick Organic Cleaning Tips:

-Line a small dish with aluminum foil (free of dirt or oils)
-Add 1 tablespoon of baking soda
-Boil a small amount of water (just enough to cover your jewelry in the small dish)
-Pour boiling water into foil lined dish with baking soda
-Watch the bubbles foam and take away tarnish
-Organic magic! 1-2 minutes for shine
-Some heavily tarnished jewelry may need to have this process repeated.

When you are done cleaning, the solution can be disposed of in the drain, no worries as it is non toxic, will not harm the piping or environment!
